Fall of a clandestine empire

My Yale Law School classmate, Steve Brill, has managed to write a 23 page article about 9/11 without addressing whether there might be anything to the theory that 9/11 was an “inside job.” A lawyer, Brill has nothing to say about whether the United States’ legal institutions are robust, suffering from “state capture,” or indeed, whether the US Constitution is even in effect. Brill has alot to say about bloat and incompetence at DHS; nothing to say about rights (although he manages to slur gun owners) in the post 9/11 USA. Brill’s criticism of Congressional bloat and incompetence may convince us that he did some research. But his long-winded article, which mentions ISIL while failing to mention how ISIL came into being, is hardly convincing. Brill stonewalls what we need to know. For reference:
We don’t expect much from the Atlantic after shoddy reporting on Trump and the election.
